In light sheet microscopy a thin sheet of laser light excites fluorescence in the focal plane of the detection objective. A red LED provides transmission contrast. Two cameras collect the light and display it on a monitor.

For the exhibition we have prepared a fixed zebrafish larva.
Users can explore the entire vasculature of the fish.

The eduSPIM is installed in the Technische Sammlungen in Dresden as part of the exhibition HiLights!

The microscope runs continuously and can be controlled with seven buttons.
